Finish Your Weight Loss Journey With Emsculpt

As you head closer to your weight loss goals, you may still feel a little disappointed that your muscle tone isn’t where it should be. While it’s perfectly normal to be frustrated at times during your weight loss journey, the good news is there is something you can do to end your journey on a high note.

At Precision Regenerative Medicine, we use Emsculpt® technology to redefine your muscle tone and strength after weight loss.  Tammy J. Penhollow, DO, has extensive experience designing Emsculpt treatment plans to give you the final results you’ve worked so hard to achieve.

What to know about Emsculpt

Emsculpt is a non-invasive treatment that uses high-intensity, focused electromagnetic energy (HIFEM®) to stimulate powerful contractions in your abdominal muscles. These contractions help improve the tone and strength of muscle tissue while redefining its appearance.

With Emsculpt, you can renew your core strength, tone and strengthen:

  • Low back muscles
  • Abdominal muscles
  • Gluteal muscles
  • Biceps and triceps
  • Calf and quadricep muscles

Dr. Penhollow can also use the Emsculpt technology as rehabilitative therapy. Treatment increases the muscle mass around your spine to stabilize it. Emsculpt can also build muscle mass around your other joints to relieve pressure and reduce your risk for sports injuries, diseases like arthritis, and chronic pain.

Without resorting to surgery, Emsculpt can help increase your muscle mass an average of 16% in a 4 treatment protocol, although results vary from person to person.

Ideal candidates for Emsculpt

Emsculpt is a treatment option for people who are close to their ideal body weight and want to redefine the strength and appearance of their muscles.

Dr. Penhollow can also recommend Emsculpt for people with acute or chronic injuries that cause chronic pain in the back, knees, or shoulders. She can also determine if you’re a candidate for this muscle-strengthening treatment before or after surgery in these areas.

Ideal candidates for Emsculpt should be in good physical health and able to tolerate the treatment. We’ll review your medical history and your expectations for results during your initial consultation.

What happens during Emsculpt therapy

During your Emsculpt session, you can expect to lie comfortably on an exam table. We’ll place a small or large applicator over the treatment area, which will deliver high-intensity focused electromagnetic energy into the targeted muscles.

The process requires no anesthesia or incisions. As the energy moves into your muscle tissue, you can expect to feel the contractions. Many people say the experience is similar to engaging in an intensive workout. Treatments are either 20 or 30 minutes (depending on the muscle groups targeted) and you will need a minimum of four sessions scheduled a few days apart to achieve optimal results.

Immediately after your Emsculpt treatment is complete, you can go back to your usual routine without any downtime. You can begin to see your results soon after with your muscles feeling tighter and looking more defined.  It can take up to eight weeks from your final treatment to see optimum results, which can continue to improve over several more weeks.
